The Hans Baier imitation tortoiseshell shaving brush is handmade in Solingen from natural badger hair of silver tip quality.

The handle is made of imitation tortoise shell.

Of course, we will not offer tortoiseshell from the upper plate of a turtle's dorsal shield, as this is fortunately protected.

Our ancestors saw it quite differently. And since tortoiseshell is not only slightly transparent, but also easy to work with, the material was very popular with craftsmen in the 19th century.
