Boker Straight Razor Paua Carbon Steel French Point 5/8"

A beautiful straight razor from Böker: shimmering blue Paua with its ravishing play of colours meets an extra hollow ground carbon steel blade of the handmade straight razor in 5/8", crowned by a French head especially suited for sharp contours.

The striking handle of the Böker straight razor is made of paua. The molluscs that suckle a few metres below the water surface off the coast of New Zealand are considered a delicacy.

The beautiful and almost artificially shimmering shells of these popular molluscs have been used since time immemorial as decorative objects, utensils or as the basic material for jewellery, inlays or mother-of-pearl clasps. Using the most modern manufacturing processes, a wafer-thin layer of colourful abalone is applied to a carrier material and encapsulated in transparent acrylic. The highly resistant material thus obtained is ideally suited for the production of the razor handles and inspires with an extraordinary play of colours and a three-dimensional appearance.

The blade with French head is extra-high ground with Wall and bears the historical engraving that was once used for particularly fancy Böker razors. Thanks to the serrations on both sides, the perfectly balanced knife always offers a secure grip. With an authentic Böker stamp in the blade, certificate of authenticity and historical packaging.
